Meet Evelyne Bryan—owner and master maker behind the San Diego-based House of Charley (HOC). Evi, as her family and friends know her, is the sole proprietor of this creative, super unique, and highly sought after product that is transforming the world of floral designs and displays.
With her signature Luxe Paper Blooms, Bryan’s favorite source of inspiration is obviously from real flowers, and she adores the nuances only Mother Nature can create. Well, until Luxe Paper Blooms were born, of course. In her own home, Evi jokes she’s not allowed to have anything but succulents because of her practically black thumb. “I might call it gray rather than black, but I try!” she adds when defending her honor.
Evi has a keen eye for incorporating nature’s little imperfections to create colorful floral arrangements and displays that look: like they were picked straight from a garden. And each individual bloom is hand cut, hand dyed, and handcrafted.
HOC was recently acquired and joined the growing portfolio of a fellow San Diego business owner, Nicole Osibodu, of Pink Pineapple Event Design. Together, these two businesses are transforming the hospitality and event industry. The House of Charley and Pink Pineapple Event Design do not just cater to the San Diego market, but worldwide. No matter what country or hemisphere, The House of Charley Original Luxe Paper Blooms are in season all year long.
