Peter & Ben | Savannah, GA
"We first met when Peter was bar-tending in Orlando and Ben was a patron. We immediately locked eyes and Peter thought Ben was very attractive. We then met a week later through a mutual friend and immediately hit it off! Ben proposed to Peter in December 2016 in Quebec City, Canada. Since Peter works for an airline and was scheduled to work during the holidays; We planned a trip to Quebec City to celebrate the holidays together in a wintery wonderland. One night before dinner, Ben recommended that we go for drinks a bit earlier. On our walk to to the restaurant he guided us through a park that overlooked the city. As Peter looked off in the distance he saw candles on the ground and a person standing nearby. He looked at Ben and said, “Aww... look it’s a memorial for someone’s death.” Ben was nervous himself since he was just about to propose to Peter so he just didn’t pay any it any mind. As they got closer, Ben kneeled in the circle of candles and proposed to Peter. The rest is history"

About The Day
Some of the most memorable parts of the wedding included the reception, more specifically the parent and sibling toasts and dancing. We had a bocce ball game set up to pay homage to Peter’s Italian heritage. We also had a fantastic photo booth set up by All About You Entertainment. They emailed the guests their pictures immediately as well as having print outs for them and one copy for us in a guest book that could be personalized!
The groom’s wore navy blue tailored suits and brown dress shoes. We wanted more causal of a look than a tuxedo and considering the weather and it being an outside wedding in the south. The groomsmen wore tailor navy blue suit jackets, khaki pants and brown Sperry’s. The bro’smaids wore knee length chiffon navy blue dresses in the style of their choice with nude color heels.
Our ceremony backdrop was an arbor draped in white chiffon fabric bunched with white hydrangeas and eucalyptus on both sides. The back of the arbor had eucalyptus hanging garland which tied in the gorgeous natural greenery of the venue. We used white hydrangeas and eucalyptus in our bro’smaids bouquets and white ranunculus in the grooms’ and groomsmen boutonnieres. Instead of one traditional centerpiece vase; We opted to have large white lanterns be the centerpiece with 3 vases surrounding it. Those vases had arranged white tulips, roses and hydrangeas.
