Jodi and Trilby worked together at a company that provided services for handicapped adults. 10 years after they first met, the two were engaged. The proposal happened on a surprise date at South Mountain, on a bench, overlooking the city. Freezing and cold, they said “yes”, and 8 years later were married.
While the couple struggled with over planning with their “too many great ideas,” they realized their planning high was when all their guests were able to attend, including some last minute.
The favorite moment of both brides was their daughter’s speech about having 2 amazing moms. She was so happy the marriage was finally happening and that they were able to do it right.
They also cherished their mother’s giving them kisses during the ceremony, like they had done at birth, signifying their blessings.
Their departure was comical when they realized that they had lost their keys in the chaos of getting ready and had to get a ride home from one of their Brosmen.
The ladies look forward to a trip to San Francisco and Napa in August, to celebrate in one f their most favorite places.
