Farm-Inspired Sunset Groom Wedding
Windy Hill Farm, North Carolina | Photos by: Rose Trail Images
The design was... Hey peeps, we're doing a shoot for Kevin and Cam at a farm at sunset and there will be a red velvet couch. Discuss amongst yourselves how you'd like to make that vision even better. (I wish I had something better than that, but I don't! I just knew farm, sunset, and red velvet couch were must haves!)
I met Kevin and Cameron last summer. After the deadly shooting at Pulse in Orlando, I wanted to do something good for our community so I sent out a message asking people to nominate couples/families in the LGBTQ community who would like a free photo shoot.
Kevin and Cameron's story stuck out to me, and I was able to go to Cam's family farm and take pictures of them and Kevin's two kiddos. They instantly became my family!
When Cam asked Kevin to marry him over New Years, I knew I wanted to do their engagement photos... which is how this whole thing got started!
I talked with my friend Caroline who owns amazing furniture and rental pieces and the whole shoot snowballed from there! This shoot encapsulated them as a couple, as well as incorporating everyone's ideas into this amazing shoot. I couldn't have been more proud!
Inspiration on how beautiful engagement sessions/farm weddings can really be, especially during sunset with super gorgeous colors... and an amazing couple <3
