Jesse and Luke’s incredible wedding day was surrounded by loving family and friends, made even better with the celebration they had planned that night! They dressed and prepared in separate rooms oneither side of Victoria Square in Adelaide CBD at the Hilton Hotel. With their parents and entourage nearby to help get everything ready for take-off, there was an electric atmosphere full of fun as everyone worked together to ensure things ran smoothly right up until it was time to head off for a stunning ceremony at Pilgrim Uniting Church.
Pilgrim Uniting Church Wedding Ceremony
Jesse and Luke’s Adelaide Pilgrim Uniting Church wedding was a truly breathtaking affair. The dark yet beautiful architecture inside the church set the tone for an intimate ceremony, with a choir singing beneath its impressive organ adding to this romantic ambience. As Jesse and Luke walked down their respective aisle, each arm in arm with their mothers following behind fathers lighting ornamental candles on the altar – it provided intimacy as both families shared part of the ceremonial moment together by combining both flames into one candle. Vows were exchanged followed by heartfelt readings that concluded in two becoming one!
Despite the bleary weather, we were blessed to have everyone come together for one big group shot in front of their church. As much as I was delighted with capturing all that love and joy outdoors, there is a certain magic captured inside this special place too – so they ventured into its splendid interior while we snuck around finding unexpected angles telling heartfelt stories!
No time could be wasted so off we went to Adelaide Railway Station – braving hordes of football fans en route – where even more photos were taken amidst all this hustle and bustle. Ultimately at their reception later on, what started out as luck from avoiding bad weather turned into toast-worthy memories captured forever by talented photographer Richard Pouncy Photography
Adelaide Hilton Wedding Reception
Jesse and Luke made sure their wedding reception was one to remember! Grand chandeliers created a majestic setting, with the equally grand cake commanding center stage at the head table. Fireworks sparkled during their first dance while they shared those romantic moments together in front of family and friends. To add an extra feeling of elegance, warm music set by a 19 piece band provided delightful entertainment throughout the night . It all amounted to their desired ‘gaudy’ theme that truly made it an unforgettable celebration for everyone involved!
Jesse’s clever quip that the cake wasn’t even straight had everyone cracking up. The enormity of dessert was evident – painstakingly leaning to one side! An amazing night followed with plenty of laughter, fun and dancing accompanied by bear tosses in the likeness of the couple, in lieu of bouquet tosses.
Here’s to a life full of blissful moments, treasured memories and an abundance of joy.
